Listed fourth purest in the United States. The tea-colored waters flow down through the State Forest past pristine white sandbars that are surrounded by cedar, cypress, juniper and pine.

If you want to leave all of the work and stress behind, a trip down Blackwater River is worth the drive. 

The average depth of the river is 2 1/2 to 3 feet with some deep eddies. The sparkling white sands of Blackwater River provide fantastic sparkling white sandbars that will invite you to sit back relax and  enjoy a picnic.
